A NEW women's football team has formed in Helensburgh - and they are looking to welcome players.
Duo Evie Macdonald and Beckie Darnell, whose sons both play for Ardencaple 2016s, decided to create the group due to a lack of local ladies' football sessions in the town.
Through the power of word of mouth, the pair managed to get a group of women to come together and play each week.
Some of the players are complete beginners and others have played football previously, but the team's focus is getting fit, having fun and meeting new people.
The group, which runs in partnership with Ardencaple FC, will meet every Friday night between 6-7pm in the main sports hall at Hermitage Academy.
They are keen to welcome new players along.
