THE owners of a popular farm and eatery near the banks of Loch Lomond have announced that the restaurant side of the business is to close this month.
Rebecca and Wayne Cleworth, who have run Fruin Farm, just outside Helensburgh, since it opened in 2015, will turn their focus solely towards operating a dedicated, exclusive-use venue for weddings, private parties, corporate events - and everything in between.

The couple said the decision was influenced by an extremely high level of booking requests for events throughout 2019 and the restaurant, which provides locally sourced food prepared by chef Stuart MacIntyre, will shut from Saturday, February 8, when staff return from the winter break.
Rebecca told the Advertiser: “As the restaurant side of the business closes, we would like to thank all our loyal customers for the laughs they have given us, the friends we have made and for helping us achieve what we have.

“Over the past four and a half years, we have built an incredible foundation, providing the best experience in local food, ambience and customer service which we will continue to deliver through our events.
“We hope you will think of us should you need a venue.”
