POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a car was vandalised in the centre of Helensburgh last weekend.

A blue Vauxhall Grandland vehicle, that was parked in Sinclair Street, was said to have been found with its bodywork “scratched by unknown means”, according to officers.

The damage is believed to have occurred at around 2pm on Sunday, December 5.

Anyone who may have any information relating to the incident is asked to contact Helensburgh police office.

Other recent offences in the area include a man being arrested and charged with alleged possession of cannabis in Sinclair Street on Friday, December 3.

A male driver was also arrested on Sunday north of Luss for allegedly failing a roadside drug swipe, while police have reported two male drivers to the procurator fiscal for alleged speeding at Tarbet on November 27.
