THE countdown is on to a much-anticipated celebration of Scotland’s national bard in Cove later this month.

Cove Burgh Hall will host its first Burns Supper “for many years” at 8pm on Saturday, January 29.

Tenor and broadcaster Jamie MacDougall will take the chair and perform a medley of songs.

Traditional singer Robyn Stapleton will also perform Burns’ work, with local man Stephen Adam accompanying both her and Jamie.
