A FLOOD alert has been issued for the Helensburgh and Lomond area - and all of Argyll and Bute - for this weekend.
The Scottish Environmental Protection Agency (SEPA) sent out the alert amid warnings of Storm Betty sweeping across the nation.
SEPA say that a period of heavy rain early on Saturday could lead to some flooding impacts from surface water and small watercourses.
The Met Office previously issued a yellow 'be aware' weather warning for most of Argyll and Bute, lasting from 3am until 12 noon on Saturday, August 19.
The alert, which is in place until further notice, covers the whole of Argyll and Bute - although warnings are also in place for Aberdeenshire, Aberdeen City, Ayrshire and Arran, central Scotland, Dumfries and Galloway, Dundee and Angus, Fife, the Borders and Tayside.
A SEPA spokesperson said: "A period of heavy rain early on Saturday could lead to some flooding impacts from surface water and small watercourses.
"Particularly at risk are urban areas and the transport network.
"Impacts may include flooding to low-lying land and roads with difficult driving conditions. Isolated properties may also be at risk.
"Remain vigilant and remember, it is your responsibility to take actions which help protect yourself and your property.
"Advice and information is also available through Floodline on 0345 988 1188."
